Begin your day in Muscat with a delightful breakfast, and get ready to explore the captivating sights of this historic city. Our journey starts at the prestigious Royal Opera House, where a guided tour reveals the grandeur and elegance of this cultural landmark. Next, we head to the iconic Grand Mosque, a must-visit for anyone in Muscat. This breathtaking structure showcases exquisite Islamic art and architecture. Please note that the mosque is open to visitors from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, except on Fridays. To respect local customs, women are required to cover their arms and legs and wear a headscarf, while men should wear a shirt and full trousers.

From the mosque, we drive down the highway, passing the governmental ministry district, then along the picturesque Corniche. Here, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Muttrah waterfront, with its bustling harbor, traditional dhow boats, and majestic mountain backdrop. This area is particularly enchanting at sunset.

Continuing on, we explore the charming old district of Muscat, set in a mountain-backed bay. Visit the grand Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of Sultan Qaboos. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the palace’s history, along with insights into the two imposing Portuguese forts, Jalali and Mirani, that stand guard on either side.

Next, we head to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, a private institution that houses an impressive collection of Omani artifacts. Opened in 1998, this museum is renowned for its beautifully carved wooden doors and extensive exhibits showcasing traditional Omani culture.
