Hashman (ca. 95 km)

We continue our tour after the B’ fast at 8:00 am and proceed to Ramlat al Hashman for dune bashing.

Arriving the sand desert in Hashman, our experienced driver will drive up the hills in the most thrilling and exciting manner to show you an example of driving with force in the sand popularly known as Dune Bashing. Enjoy the exciting and thrilling driving tactics in the fine sand of Arabian Desert.

You have the opportunity for Trekking on Sand dunes. Experience the Biodiversity of the region. Our Guide will explain you with a detailed lecture about the animal and plant life of the region. You will also have the opportunity to ride a camel (on prior request). On the way we will have our lunch in the desert with local specialties. Hashman is well known for spectacular sand dunes at the border of the biggest sand desert in the World; “Rub Al Khali”. Camping in Al Hashman with a delicious BBQ Dinner with Shisha. Arabian Coffee and traditional dates are also served on arrival at the camp.

Hashman – Fazayah Beach – Hairpin bend road – Mughsail – Salalah (ca. 235 km)

We continue the tour at 8:00 am after the breakfast, served at the camp in the morning. On the way return to Salalah, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains Jabel Qamer. We pass the Jebali villages of Qaffa, Muday and Aydam and learn more about the traditional village life of Dhofar. After several scenic photo-stops we reach the Fazayah Beach at the West-coast of Dhofar. Fazayah Beach will add an unforgettable memory to your Oman tour. There is golden sand at the beach and it gives a more beautiful look to the beach with the pristine turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The Beach is bordered with wonderful landscape of Mountain cliffs together with typical desert fauna. After having the Lunch at the Beach we drive along the 'Hair-pin-bend' road with its breathtaking cliffs on either side down to Mughsail Beach. On the way along you can see the historical 'Frankincense trees' growing in their natural habitat, deep down in the valleys, dotting the dry & craggy countryside. Visit the natural titanic 'Blow Holes', where waves burst through at high tide, at the far end of the 'Rocky beach' with a cave-like entrance.

We proceed along the beach of Mughsail towards Salalah where the white sand touches the deep blue of the ocean.  

Activities: Swimming (optional with the availability of the time and sea condition! At the customers own risk)

Return to the Hotel in the evening.

Route: Salalah – Thumrait – Shisr – Hashman – Baitna – Mudai – Aydam – Mughsail – Salalah

• This tour involves walking over rough and inclined ground
• Stay overnight in simple Tents at the camp of Hashman, which accommodate up to 3 Pax in each Tent in solid beds (maximum capacity of the camp – 25 Pax at a time). Khadaf camp is simpler with folding beds. Blankets, pillows etc. will be provided. Toilet facilities available in the camp site are simple and modern.
• Guests should wear comfortable cloths and avoid jewelry or expensive watch and cell phones as there is no signal at the camps.
• No Entry Fees required at the places of visits
• A separate German/ French speaking guide can be provided at a supplement cost.
• This tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy ride. Pregnant women and children under 12 may not participate.
